A lot of people make fun of my Battlestar Galactica posters in the living room but I never listen to them. I hope those people are ready to eat crow. Frakking crow.
If you have the fancy cable look for our house this weekend on Portlandia. The full episode they shot in our house doesn't have an air date that I can find (the sketch they shot here was called "Adult Babysitter") but our exterior is used in this weekend's skit about a couple obsessively watching Battlestar Galactica.
The interior shots are of someone else's house. Can we all agree now that BSG is awesome and there's nothing not-awesome about having posters of the show in our living room?
So say we all,
Heather
No fancy cable in this house, we live in the dark ages here.
ReplyDeleteWe got cable for two months so we could watch but they seem to put every ep online so I think maybe we're just wasting a bunch of money . . .
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid to start watching the new series because I fear something exactly like that skit will happen to me. I LOVED the old one as a kid. I was going to name my future children Starbuck until some silly coffee company came around and ruined it!
ReplyDeletep.s. The posters are awesome!
Oh yeah...we are HUGE BSG nerds here on Rhone Street...totally addicted :-) If we had more wall space, I'm pretty sure these would find their way into our home as well! Anyone who disagrees is a frakking toaster.
ReplyDeleteOh, you should do it! It's such a good reboot.
ReplyDeleteAnd *this* is why I need the boy to watch the series with me. He doesn't get awesome references like this. Hey, when are you posting part 2 of your backyard reno? I'm dying to see the after!
ReplyDeleteWho makes fun of those posters? Probably a Gaius follower.
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha...you need to trick him into watching it...he'll get hooked too :-) Yeah...I'm working on the follow-up for the backyard post now...hopefully will have it up by Friday.
ReplyDeleteOMG where did you get those posters?! We're big BSG fans over here too. Some of our dog's many nicknames are fur job and toaster. The Portlandia episode is too funny. We just caught up on all of the season 1 Portlandia episodes on Netflix last weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou can get them here: http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/posters/a42d/They were even cheaper when I bought them--I think it was $19 for all five.
ReplyDeleteBut still, a great deal. Everyone is making me want to rewatch the series. :)
