At last . . .
I’m hoping to sweet talk my Twitter friend Lelo to help me pick out some shrubs to fill in the gaps around the perimeter of the yard so that someday I won’t even see the fence. Hooray for getting back to obsessive plant ogling!

Congrats! It’s been fun and satisfying to watch you build your backyard from my vantage point (reclining lawn chair). “Wow, look at her go,” I think, then have another sip of my G&T.
I like the two-level planter solution too. Lots of hard work paid off! Take a break for crying out loud ; )
Thanks, Rhonda! I plan on drinking many G&Ts this summer . . . if the rain ever stops. 🙂
1. I totally had Etta James playing in my head while reading this.
2. Duh, YES. Hello, weaving-a-tapestry-of-shrubs, including mock orange, beauty berry, lilac, sweetbox, flowering currant….oh the list could go on forever. I'm thinking shrubs you can pick from to make decadent bouquets.
Your garden is really coming along: you'll be so glad you're taking photos of it all!
