What do you think, peanut gallery?

Is it shabby chic or yard trash?  This drawer was from the old vanity in the bathroom.  I threw some cheap dowels on it, thinking I’d seen enough salvage DIY on Design Sponge to make it work.  I decided it looked stupid, then temporarily moved it to the side yard where it magically adopted the perfect leaning angle to look awesome.
But then I moved it to plant sedums in it and it looks not-awesome again.
Yes? No? Would it look great if I just had a stone statue of frogs playing checkers?

I actually kind of love it! It totally needs to stay in your yard.

Oooh, I love projects like this. I think it's great. But I think it's location is a problem because it's so far back away the patio you can't really see it. It's perfect for a tiny little vignette close up, with little sedums, and I dare you to put something fun in it…I just visited a garden where I fell in love with a plastic toy brontosaurus in a planter. Two cents. 🙂

Yay–thanks, ladies! Maybe I'll play with its location a little . . . it's really wobbly so it really needs to be leaned against something. I could install cross-braces on the legs but that would require WORK.
